I'ts more than just a logo.
My Logo, My Essence
My marketing team said, “Your logo doesn’t need to make sense to anyone but you.” And with that advice, I let go of all the other ideas I had for my rebrand and circled back to the basics, the things I love and the things that define me. For me, that has always been the sun, moon, and stars, the natural elements of earth, air, water, and fire, the number 13, and the last two words my mother left me before she died: Shine On.
The number 13 has followed me since the first sports jersey I was assigned in high school soccer. And when I say it has followed me, I mean it FOLLOWS ME EVERYWHERE — on tickets to concerts, sporting events, airplane tickets, grocery receipts, even table numbers at restaurants. So when I was designing my new logo, I knew I needed 13 of something. That’s how the rays of the sun were born.
Change is constant. I say it all the time in my therapy sessions. But some things never change, the sun rising each morning, the moon appearing at night, and the twinkling of the stars. These celestial constants have always followed me too. Gifts I receive often carry a celestial theme. I wear jewelry with moons and stars. My wedding theme was constellations. My home is filled with sun, moon, and star decorations. My mom would buy me moon-themed items and always tell me to wish upon a star. Even now, I feel she communicates with me from the afterlife through shooting stars.
Having these symbols around me, in my home, my office, and now my logo, gives me a sense of comfort, a feeling of belonging, like I’ve truly come home to the universe.
My logo is more than a design. It embodies my essence, my soul’s knowing, and the many memories of my life, all wrapped into a single image representing my business. Everything I create is created with intention, hidden and secret meanings but this was one thing I didn’t want to keep to myself. I wanted to share the meaning behind it because it’s more than just a logo to me, it embodies my soul.
If your a holistic entrepreneur and want to work with me, I will help you dig deeper into what calls you home and makes you feel the depth of who you are so you can bring that to those whom you will help. Just like I am doing here.
